The annual John McKenna music weekend is a 4-day event held in Drumkeeran, County Leitrim. The festival is held in memory of the great John McKenna, a local flute player and has in recent years become a much-anticipated local and tourist hit.
You can expect plenty of toe-tapping and knee-slapping at this event with a wide variety of concerts from talented musicians, Céilí Bands, musical competitions and youth sessions. In the past, the festival has also held a group performance workshop for young people where they can record their final pieces with experts on hand to assist.
